the BECOMING....

OUR MISSION

Protecting the forest.

To create a peaceful place where people can reconnect with nature, slow down, and experience the quiet beauty of the Himalayan forests.

At Nāméa, we believe in protecting this environment through mindful and sustainable practices that respect the land and the ancient cedar trees around us.

We aim to plant 1,000 trees each year, gradually increasing this number as we grow, giving back to the forest. Our approach focuses on using eco-friendly, recyclable, and sustainable materials, ensuring that everything we build and offer stays in harmony with nature.

INTENT

Closer to Yourself

Imagine sitting in a quiet place, surrounded by ancient cedar forests. You’re reading, writing, meditating, or just being still, while the mountains stand silently around you. The windows are open, and soft Himalayan fog slowly passes through the room.

Located at 2,550 meters in the forests of Chamba, Nāméa brings you closer to nature with the comfort of simple luxury. In winter, everything is covered in snow. In summer, the forest turns deep green and full of life.

Each villa has a private jacuzzi and wide views of the Himalayas — a space to relax in complete peace.

Inspired by Chamba’s heritage, Nāméa blends traditional mountain life with modern comfort. The idea is simple: stay close to nature, without losing comfort.

Guests can enjoy an infinity pool overlooking the valley, sauna baths, and quiet forest spaces made for rest and wellbeing. Evenings can be spent around an open fire with barbecue, under clear mountain skies.

Life at Nāméa also includes small experiences — horse rides through cedar trails, friendly dogs around the property, and peaceful drives through the mountains. Personalized buggies will take you around the retreat, between your cottage, the pool, and other spaces. And since this is still a real forest, nature stays close. While walking, you may notice signs of wildlife — bears, leopards, and other animals that have always lived here.

Nāméa is not just a retreat.
It’s a quiet way of living in the forest.

THE NIGHT SKY

Closer to the Universe

At Nāméa, the night sky becomes part of the experience. Because of its location and open horizons, the Milky Way can be seen stretching across the sky in its natural direction, along with countless stars.

Even on regular nights, the sky feels vast and alive — a quiet reminder to pause, look up, and reconnect with yourself and the universe.

WRAPPED IN SNOW

A World in White

In winter, everything around you slowly turns white. The trees, the paths, the rooftops — all covered like soft cotton. You step outside, and it feels quieter, calmer… like the world has slowed down just for you.

And even beyond winter, the snow never truly leaves. From Nāméa, the distant Himalayan peaks remain snow-covered through the year — a view you wake up to, every single day.

You don’t just see it, you live with it. And we’re creating small experiences to help you enjoy these moments even more.
